Charity for Iran

Citizens of the United States have enormous, giving hearts.

In December 2003 Bam, Iran suffered the loss of 30,000 of its citizens to an earthquake. The people of Bam lived simple lives with little knowledge of world politics.

The U.S. quickly assisted with $10 million - one of the world’s largest donation efforts.

$10 Million was far short from the aide needed to help survivors rebuild their homes, and Americans wanted to do more. U.S. doctors, nurses, medical supplies made the way to help relieve the physical suffering. U.S. financial relief sent through channels encountered political walls although eventually the aide began to help.

Ahmadinejad refused U.S. aide after an Iranian earthquake in 2005. Where is the relief for those who suffered? A country who will not accept charity for its suffering people will take no care to protect them.
